Biography

In August 2022, Jonah Cabrera joined the Clinical Support Team with both ACS NSQIP and MBSAQIP at the American College of Surgeons. He provides clinical assistance to data abstractors and surgical teams that participate in the MBSAQIP program. Jonah has created educational material as well as participated in certification exam writing and variable updates. Before joining the ACS, Jonah focused his career on critical care as a flight nurse, neonatal and pediatric critical care transport nurse, and emergency room nurse. Jonah maintains his position as an intermittent/deployment-only nurse with the Trauma Critical Care Team of the National Disaster Medical System. Jonah received his BSN from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, in 2007 and he is currently enrolled in a graduate program. He has national certifications in flight nursing (CFRN) and neonatal/pediatric transport (C-NPT).
