Description

The course is to designed to discuss and dispel myths often associated with the metabolic and bariatric surgery journey. The course covers nutrition, relationships, exercise, addiction, and medical misconceptions. Polling of the audience will occur and popular belief will be clarified/challenged.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify 3 nutritional myths associated with metabolic and bariatric surgery patients.
  2. Articulate why exercise will not compensate for increased calorie intake.
  3. State why all bariatric and metabolic surgery patients do not experience "dumping syndrome".
