Description

Speakers from different health disciplines will present a scientific paper that changed or shaped their treatment of patients with severe obesity. Each presenter will discuss a patient experience or mentor’s advice that reinforced the concepts presented in the influential paper. A 15 minute panel discussion will conclude the session.

Learning Objectives

  1. Attendees will identify influential scientific papers that shape the treatment of severe obesity.
  2. Participants will understand the integration of empirical research into clinical care of patients seeking bariatric surgery.
  3. Attendees will further their application of research into obesity management.
