Biography

Jaymey Sweeney graduated from OHSU Nursing Program with her master’s as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has more than 25 years of experience as an RN and 15 as a nurse practitioner. During this time, she has worked with patients across the lifespan to promote health and wellness while managing multisystem chronic diseases. After seeing the devastating effects of obesity, she realized that treating obesity first is the best way to help her patients improve both health and quality of life. Obesity management has become her passion, and she holds the Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Management from the Obesity Medicine Association and the Assessment Based Certificate for Advanced Practice Providers from the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons. She is currently practicing as a FNP in a bariatric and obesity management practice with Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.
