Biography

I am a clinical psychologist and the Director of Bariatric and Weight Loss Psychology within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Stony Brook University. I have worked in the area of bariatric surgery for the past 12 years. My research is focused on psychosocial factors associated with obesity and outcomes of bariatric surgery. Additionally, I am the immediate past chair of the NY State ASMBS Integrated Health Board and Senior past chair of the ASMBS IH Multidisciplinary Care Committee.
