Biography

Dr. Laura Aylward is a Clinical Health Psychologist who specializes is bariatrics, medical weight management, and disordered eating. She completes psychological evaluations and treatment before and after surgery. Dr. Aylward is active in bariatric research and has co-authored several publications in SOARD. She currently serves has co-chair for the IH Clinical Issues Committee. In her role at West Virginia University School of Medicine, Dr. Aylward is also involved in clinical teaching of medical students, psychiatry residents, and clinical psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows.
